A fun and educational afternoon of nature activities and basic sailing with a Pirate flair!
Follow a treasure map and learn about marine life in and around Utah Lake and what plants you can eat when you are marooned.
Come aboard our 27 foot sloop where you will learn some sailboat terminology and have a chance to rescue a man overboard and take the helm of the boat.
We will learn about knots, some nautical etymology (where sayings came from), what seafarers ate on long ocean voyages, how to navigate by compass and the stars, and how wind powers a sailboat.
